Abstract: The problem of the ways of forming professional linguistic competence at foreign language classes is relevant the conditions of the scientific and technological revolution that is taking place nowadays, which introduces the general use a huge number of terms. In this regard competence of professional translation of foreign language texts sufficiently 78 : . . 10. No 2. 2018 .. facilitates work in the modern economic space. Skills of professional translation is one of the types of foreign language competence that allows you to work with foreign texts, an ability to understand and extract information within the framework of one or another of the graduates vocational training. Circumstances that hinder the work on formation of foreign competencies are training in a non-linguistic university. This study examines the need to increase the level of students activity in foreign language study of a possibility of involving students in masters programs in dense research activities. It is proved that the application of the project method to foreign language classes not only develops students creative potential, knowledge and skills in discipline, but also serves to form the competencies necessary for further educational and professional activities.
